Love Between Enemies (Grad Night #2)
Molly E. Lee
Synopsis
Zoey Handler is ready to put an end to her
decade-long rivalry with Gordon Meyers. They’ve traded top spot between
valedictorian and salutatorian for years, but all that’s over now. Right? But
after a crazy graduation speech prank gets out of hand, suddenly their rivalry
turns into all-out war. Time to make peace with a little friendly payback.
Step one? Make him believe they’re now
friends.
Step two? Show him the time of his life at
an epic graduation party.
Step three? Don’t fall for his tricks.
Step four? Absolutely, positively, do not
kiss him again.
So what if he’s cute? (Okay, hot.) So what
if he’s charming? (Heaven help her, tempting.) So what if he apologizes? (That
has to be fake.) She knows the real Gordon. And no matter how much her heart
begs her to stop, there’s no turning back.
Disclaimer:
This Entangled Teen Crush book contains one epic party, complete with every
high-schoolers-gone-bad shenanigan, and two rivals who discover maybe they
could be something much more…if only they’d stop fighting long enough to notice
it.
Book Review: ♥ ♥ ♥ ❣
Two rivals. Both ambitious and have similar goals.
Gordon Meyers studies hard and tries his best to be top of his class.
Zoey Handler is his biggest rival. They both want to be the best, but their motives differ.
Gordon lives with his dad. They own a store and are struggling to make ends meet. A full-ride scholarship to cover his education would take the pressure off.
Zoey is a rich girl and her dad wants to give her everything. He wants her to follow in his footsteps and learn the family business. Zoey wants to earn what she achieves and stand on her own feet. She earns the scholarship to Stanford.
Gordon can't believe the girl who has everything has won the scholarship. He can't help but take his revenge, but then feels guilty.
Will rivals always be rivals? Or could there be more to their relationship? A step too far may just push them both over the edge.
3.5 stars out of 5. Gordon is a sweet leading male character. He has always had a thing for Zoey he just doesn't realise it.

Interview:
Question One: What was your inspiration
behind Love Between Enemies?
While collaborating with my amazing
editor Stacy, we came up with the idea of having three books all set at one
epic grad night party. Gordon and Zoey were introduced in book one, but I
already knew they’d be characters to
get their own book because they were so unique. They were constantly battling
but were at the same time so much alike. I couldn’t wait to explore that dynamic J
Question Two: Gordon studies hard to
achieve good grades instead of partying with his friends. What does a normal
day look like for Gordon?
Gordon is an incredibly busy and
dedicated guy. He makes time for family, friends, and his own goals, and
somehow rocks this awesome balance between them all. He wakes up before the sun
to help his Dad at the restaurant, then gets in an hour of studying before
school starts. After a day of classes, he either shows up to support his
friends (track meets and journalism deadlines) or he’ll hit the books again. On the weekends he’s working at the restaurant, but will make time to catch a bro-night with Fynn.
He makes a habit of reading one chapter of a
non-school book before going to bed, and then wakes up and does it all over
again J
Question Three: Zoey wants to prove she
can make it on her own. Why choose the hard option over following in her
fathers footsteps?
Zoey, like many teens with powerful
families, has faced rumors and her peers throwing shade at her her entire life.
I loved that Zoey decided to channel that negative energy into this fierce
determination to prove to the world that she didn’t need her family’s company to get
her anywhere in life. She rose above the stereotype, and worked her butt off to
get there. That kind of dedication is admiral, even if it does make her a bit
stubborn J
Question Four: These two have a lot of
history together. What were their first impressions of each other?
Gordon’s first impression was likely annoyance—lol—since they were in
grade school and she beat him in a spelling competition. After that though, it
turned to something more. Admiration and terror and attraction as they grew
older. Zoey always thought he was cute, and always loved that his constant
fight for things she wanted made her work harder. She saw him as this
ultimate-motivation, to be smarter, sharper, quicker.
Question Five: What can we expect next from this series?
Lennon and Jade. I’m so beyond excited to bring their story to
life. I’ve wanted to write
their book since the first time they walked on the page in Friend Zone! There
is something so intriguing about Lennon’s voice. I’m as much of a
sucker for rockstars as I am nerds, so being able to dive into both his and
Jade’s voices was such
an awesome experience! I’m super pumped for
everyone to find out where they went for half the party J
