the mists is the second book in The wardens series. There are 7
full-length books in total and a couple of spin-offs. This is a reverse
harem relationship scenario. Our main character is Macey a princess
kelpie. At the end of the last book (From the deeps), Macey has been
kidnapped by the enemy which means she’s found a warden but lost her
men.
The group need to reunite and figure out how to fulfil their destiny. The story is based around Scottish mythology. It’s a fantasy adventure story with romance including incubus and two wraiths. Each warden is special in their own way.
Into the mists gives us a clue of the types of enemies the series will concur. We have new and old characters along with new relationship dynamics. In this instalment, the romance isn’t a focus of the journey.
I really like this series so far Angus Yellowlees offers a range of voices and reads the story well. This is a continuous story and needs to be read in order.
