Confessions of a Sophomore Prankster #Coming Soon

Confessions of a Sophomore Prankster

TEASER:

Brandon passes me ten dollars. “Keep the change and I’ll take your phone number.”
I shake my head. “I don’t think so.”
“How am I going to contact my new lab partner?”
“I don’t need your help with the assignment. I’ll do the work and put our names on it.” Spending time with him sounds like a bad idea. He’s easy on the eye, but I doubt his motivation runs deep. I’ve known many guys like him before. He’s rich, privileged, and only interested in himself. Once something new and shiny comes along, he’ll drop me like an old toy. I’ve seen the sort of company he keeps, and they aren’t the kind of people I want to be friends with, so doing the work myself is for the best.
“I don’t think so. I’d like to guarantee a good grade, blondie.”
I blink. Is he insulting me? I probably deserve it for stereotyping him in class. “Just because I’m blonde, doesn’t make me dumb.”
“And just because I’m a jock doesn’t mean I don’t do my own work,” he bites back. I can’t decipher if he’s angry or messing with me.
