I have been really curious about this series of books for a while and when head over heels book 5 was available on netgalley I couldn't resist. It can be read on its own however I would probably recommend you start from book one. This book is aimed at children and I think that is the correct age group 11-17 (although I enjoyed this book I felt I was a little too old for it which isn't always the case with children's books). I love the Whitty banter and interesting facts throughout the book. 

Harriet is a geek and this book made me realise that they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Harriet likes facts, facts about everything. She likes to work out her odds and plan for events. This book has a fashion theme and a sense of adventure. It does end by setting the next book up which I'm sure will just keep fans wanting more.

This is the second book in the ivy years and yet again it can be read as a standalone however like most things it's better to start from the beginning just because you meet the characters.
Again I loved this book. Two ice hockey lovers avoiding hockey, how does she do it. This book is all about scandal. It was juicy and gripping. I couldn't put it down. 

Shannon's dad is accused of an unforgivable crime and she is struggling to escape the drama. She is being pulled down just because she is related. She doesn't know anything and she didn't do anything. Her high school friends no longer talk to her and she ends up spending her free time alone. She decides the best solution is to give up her love for hockey and become someone else.
Bridger loves his little sister and sees his mother becoming less able to cope everyday. He doesn't want his sister to live through the drama. He decides to help her by letting her come stay with him but the less than perfect circumstances means they are living in a one bedroom in the dorms. He has to keep her quiet but the alternative of taking her back to her mother is not an option.
He meets Scarlet aka Shannon during a few of his classes and for those few hours they can both escape their crumbling life's.

This is the first book in a series of books however it can be read as a standalone. No cliffhanger. I'm a huge fan of the book him so I decided to check out some other stories by this author and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. 

Corey loves hockey and she used to be pretty good at it but after an unfortunate accident she is left to take her life in a different direction. She decides to still go to her dream college but instead of hockey practice she has to struggle to find her way around the wheelchair friendly routes of campus. Her new neighbour, Adam is in a similar boat. He has to sit the hockey season out because of an injury. The difference is it was his own drunken stupidity that landed him on crutches. His friends are all playing hockey and his girlfriend is away travelling, leaving Adam with a whole lot of time he isn't used to having. The only void he can think of to fill the hole is to play hockey video games the problem is his ex room mate had the tv so now he turns to Corey and discovers a new kind of best friend.
Hockey romance book which is about two people who can't play.

 I loved this book and I am so becoming a fan of this author. 5 stars out of 5.

This book was pretty good and a nice easy read. I feel it could have been a little bit longer but was still satisfying. It is what you expect it’s cocky, witty and fun. I usual like an alpha male but in this book the female character definitely knows how to hold her own and it really did work.   

Alicia has a voice of an angel and she has just landed her first gig. She’s nervous but who wouldn’t be. She manages to swallow them down and start her debut club performance. 

Clay is a celebrity bad boy with only one thing on his mind and that’s to stir up trouble. He likes to take the world by storm and doesn’t think of the consequences until it is too late. Tonight is no different he gets into a fight outside a bar and ruins her debut performance, but soon realises she could be the one to save his career.

This book is about friendship old and new. It is about discovering who you are and what you want in your future. 

4 stars out of 5. This was an interesting read. It wasn’t a romance novel like my typical reads. It was fun and different.
