Axe's Fall

Axe's Fall (Insurgents MC #4)

Love this author loved this book simple.

Axe attends a wedding of an old high school friend where he meets Baylee. He isn't a commitment type of guy but he has to have her just once. The problem is once just wasn't enough and now he can't get her out of his mind.
Baylee is all about her career and doesn't have time for a man. She meets a stranger at a friends wedding and decides to give into her urges with the understanding it would be a one time thing. What she doesn't realise is the MC are about to be her new client.
When an outlaw biker wants you it is hard to resist. Axe is demanding and persistent. Baylee is his and he's not willing to share.

Another instalment in the Insurgents MC series. It is what you expect and that's the way I like it. 5 stars out of 5.

Wanting More

Wanting More (Love on Campus #2)

This was pretty good. Its strange, this week I have read two books with the same story line idea but both were completely different (Wanting More and Playing Defence). Both were courtesy of Netgalley.

Bri is smart and makes educated decision in life rather than impulse. She has a life plan and doesn’t take risks. She is a post graduate student who also works as a student guidance liaison. She is assigned Josh’s case. He is her complete opposite. He is all about the party lifestyle and taking risks. Unfortunately for him, his carefree attitude has landed him on academic probation. He isn’t really interested in education and has no idea what he wants to achieve from it.

Bri has her hands full with Josh from day one. He isn’t interested in studying which might be a problem if he intends to pass his courses. She finds herself making a bet with him without even realising she has been played. Josh is charming and actually quite bright he just needs to apply himself. Bri has her eyes on improving his grades and Josh has his heart set on Bri.

Fun college romance that is worth the read.  4.5 stars out of 5.

This can be read as a standalone.

Playing Defense

Playing Defense (Corrigan Falls Raiders #2)

I really enjoyed this book. It's worth the full 5 stars. It's a sweet teen romance which shows how an unlikely couple can show each other a brighter future.

Claudia is smart and all about studying to get into the school of choice. One of her teachers suggests tutoring other students would look good on her college applications. She takes on Chris a hockey jock who doesn't have much interest in academic studies. He is a happy go lucky carefree spirt. The total opposite of Claudia.

She learns him maths and chemistry. He learns her how to let her hair down every once in a while.
I would definitely recommend this book it's a nice sweet read.

This book is a standalone story however the characters from book one are featured in this book therefore it's probably a good idea to read that first. I haven't read the first book and I would say it had no affect on this. I am curious about Karen and Tyler's story though.

Fjord Blue

Fjord Blue

I really enjoyed this book. I have read quite a few gay romance books now and I have to say I am a fan of them. This book reads as if it was written by a seventeen year old boy which is good because that’s what it is supposed to be.

Ben has started getting into trouble partying too hard and playing too recklessly. One night he takes it too far and is lucky to escape with his life. His parents decide enough is enough and ship him off to Norway to work on his grandparent’s farm. Even lives on the farm too and he ends up rooming with him. Even has his own troubles and is trying hard to keep his head down.
This book is about being honest with yourself and not being afraid to go after what you want but if only life was that simple. To be true to yourself may have consequences but to be happy you have to be yourself.

5 stars out of 5.

Book two shows life after the prince of darkness but once you have had a taste it’s hard to go back. Sofia tries to get her life back on track and she sees everything she ever wanted before the shade quickly within fingers grasp. The problem is she cannot get Derik out of her head or the nightmares out of her head.
