♥Synopsis
Finding out you were wrong about something important can be a let down. But Poppy is pleased to learn she's not just a Monday. She's a Cusper, a weekday lucky enough to have TWO powers. Poppy's elation is short-lived when she, Ellie, Logan, and Sam return to Power Academy as camp counselors, only to find themselves out of their element and struggling with the new drama teacher and his disaster of a school musical. When some campers go missing, Poppy and her team of weekdays are on the case. Soon, Poppy begins to realize that much like her powers, the seemingly-perfect town of Nova has some flaws, and the origin of her powers is as questionable as Headmistress Clothes-too-tight Larriby's choice in outfits. If only there were more days in the week!

“It’s almost as if he disappeared.”
“And that’s my job,” Logan said, cracking a smile.
Ellie rolled her eyes. “Ha, ha, ha,” she said without an ounce of humor.
“Maybe
he had an emergency at home,” I offered, but deep down, I knew I was
wrong. Something felt off. Just like it felt off last year with the
whole Pickle situation. I should never have decided to come back to this
place. Maybe I should just get out of here now. Pickle whined, as if
she knew that I needed some snuggles right now.
“They aren’t telling us something,” Logan said.
“Yeah. Did you see the way those N.P.C. guys showed up today? That was just plain weird.” Ellie said.
“Maybe we should ask Larriby or Masters what’s going on?” Logan offered.
“I’m already in enough trouble with Larriby as it is. There’s no way I’m gonna ask her about this,” I said.
“Then
let’s just listen in as best we can today and see what we get,” Ellie
said to me. This was a logical idea. I had a Thursday power, after all. I
might as well use it to listen in on thoughts. Sometimes my ditzy
friend surprised me.
“We will figure this out,” Logan said, pulling me in for a hug.
My Review: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Poppy
Mayberry is back and as the title suggests she is returning to summer
school (Power Academy). Luckily so are her friends from last year, and
she will be meeting some new ones. Poppy Mayberry may be returning to
summer school, but this time she will be mentoring. This doesn't mean
she won't be having a summer adventure though.
In book one we found out Poppy and her friends Ellie, Logan and Sam were special. They are all cuspers, meaning they are lucky enough to have two-weekday abilities. Poppy can move objects and read people's minds. The only problem is she has been told to keep her second gift a secret.
The drama teacher at summer school lacks compassion, and Poppy wants to help her fellow Mondays. If only they could read minds. Poppy is determined to do the best she can to help, but something strange is going on. Poppy and her friends need to solve the mystery before it's too late.
This series is aimed at the 9+ age group and I think this book fits perfectly. It's quirky and imaginative. There is an adventure, the return of the cute dog and loveable pictures.
