Whiskey and Gumdrops (Blueberry Springs #1)
Jean Oram
Book Review: ♥ ♥ ❣
Whiskey and gumdrops is a
pretty good title for a book and I think that's what drew me to this
story. Mandy is a small town waitress who dreams of more. When the
person she thought she was going to marry ends up with someone else
Mandy is thrown a curve ball. Frankie her best friend has always been
there for her but she never let it go any further because she didn't
want to mess up their friendship.
Frankie wants to help Mandy dream big and offers her the space to set up her own business. Even this gesture sits a little uncomfortable with Mandy. She doesn't want anything to upset the dynamics of their relationship but Frankie is persistent. He wants to help her anyway he can.
This book is about realising sometimes your perfect match is right in front of you.
For me this book was too much about Mandy's business adventure and the romance took a back seat. 2.5 stars out of 5.
