Hope is a single mum who has recently divorced leaving her in financial ruin. She works as a veterinarian and has grown up in the cowboy ranch lifestyle. She loves her child and her job.

She takes a job sprawling cattle at a ranch which turns out to be owned by non-other than her best friend from college, Chase. They didn’t end on good terms and they haven’t spoken in years. He always was the perfect charmer but he seems to be still stuck in his bad boy ways. Hope isn’t looking for a man in her life or love. She has her son now and he is everything she ever wanted and more.   

Chase has missed this old friend and wants to re-kindle their relationship but something seems to be holding Hope back. Chase is determined to get Hope where he wants her all he has to do is figure out what he wants.

This is a sweet romance with a twist (although it is quite obvious). This is the first of Texas King books I have read (Book 2) however it can be read as a standalone. Loved this book it is worth the full 5 stars out of 5 and I’m pretty confident the others will be just as good.

Savannah and Glen have been friends for years. They only see each other at Christmas but stay in touch all year round. There is clearly chemistry between them but both have been hesitant about taking the next step. One Christmas Eve they find themselves under the spell of the mistletoe and their friendship takes a strange detour.  

This story is predictable but loveable and although it is short it is long enough to give the details needed. It is an enjoyable read.

This is a sweet Christmas spirit romance which is a nice short read. This is a standalone novel however is part of a series of books. I would recommend this book as an easy read at bedtime.

Natalie is lucky enough to find a job away from home and needs a roommate and her best friend takes advantage with a wicked plan.   

Brady lives, breathes and sleeps hockey. He doesn’t need any distractions just a roommate. What he doesn’t know is he’s just been tricked into sharing with a hot girl who is just about to out-smart him.
The game is on.

I loved this book. It had everything I like in a book. It hot and sassy. Highly recommended.

When I read the synopsis of this book on NetGalley I was unsure if this book was a story or a self-help guide, on completion I realised it was both. It helps explore the physiological thought process behind decision making.  

Rabih is a man that grew up thinking love at first sight will conquer all. He soon realises this is an unrealistic expectation. I think people may have the view of love being possible at first sight but isn’t that lust? If you do not know the person how could you possibly know they are a compatible match?

Once you have found “the one” that’s where the true story begins because that’s the hard part as Rabih is going to find out. Kirsten is the lucky girl he loves enough to marry and start a family with. This would be the fairy tale ending but maintaining a well-crafted relationship takes more than words. This book explores true marriage between two people rather than the romantic dream of the perfect marriage. It offers advice to mistakes couples fall into and explores the feelings that drive a person to make decisions.      

This was an interesting read and explores a range of subjects. As to who I think this book would help I’m not too sure. I have just completed my first year of marriage and I know people say it’s the hardest but I disagree. I’m very comfortable with the way my marriage is turning out. I understand it requires effort and compromise but that’s the part that makes it real. This book would definatly be good for a book debate each section opens up a new discussion. I think if you are a romantic rather than an idealist this book is for you. It may help with long term relationship success.  

I rate this book 4stars out of 5.

He makes her fall in love with him as part of his job, in some cruel twisted plot. Lorena finds herself trapped between the real world and the fantasy one she is discovering.     

This book is the first in a series of books rather than a standalone novel. It is aimed at the young Adult audience and is unique in ideas. It is something different for the fantasy readers.
