Let The Waves Come In

Let The Waves Come In

I really enjoyed this book and glad the author recommended it to me. It's free if you have kindle unlimited.

Aubrey has been best friends with Drew since they were children. He is her family and they have always been close but it's always been platonic. His older brother on the other hand has always been her secret crush. She's about to move away to college and out into the big world. Drew throws her an 18th birthday party the day before she leaves as a final send off. Declan, Drews older brother comes back early and catches the party in full swing. He is not at all impressed but Aubrey sees her chance and catches it with him. It's more than she hoped for. The problem is the aftermath doesn't go as planned and 6 years later they have hardly spoken since. Now they find themselves in the same town and maybe its time for their past to be let go. Start fresh and see where it leads.

When I read the synopsis for this book I was a little worried about it having a depressing feel to it but I'm glad I was wrong. This was a cute story and worth the read. In fact I couldn't put it down.

5 stars out of 5.
