Finding the Sky

Finding the Sky

The synopsis to this book reminded me of the intro to fresh prince of bel air. Dillon is a teen who has grown up in a rough area where gangs are always looking to recruit so his mother decides to send him off to visit his uncle. This is where the Book stops resembling the fresh prince.

Dillon's uncle is gay and has a few friends who are also. Scott is a teen of the same age and is happy to keep Dillon company during his stay. Scott helps Dillon realise his sexuality and helps him come to terms with it.

This book is about growing up and adapting to the surroundings when mishaps occur. I have a thing about same sex couples at the moment. This was an Interesting read 4 stars out of 5.

Stepbrother's Rules

Stepbrother's Rules

This book was so wrong it was just too right. I wouldn't recommend reading it on the bus unless you want to end up all hot and flustered.

It was a taboo romance that ticked all the boxes; stepbrother, filthy mouthed, biker and totally wrong on another level. This book will leave you hot under the collar.
LuAnn has always had a thing for her stepbrother. It is the late 50's and she attends a women's college. She manages to get herself wrapped up in a scandal with some friends. Her step brother, Brad comes to rescue her and she ends up having to stay with him for a while. Brad takes looking after his stepsister to a whole new level.

4.5 stars out of 5.

Marry Your Billionaire

Marry Your Billionaire

This book was like watching a series of the the bachelorette. It had the good, the bad and the plain ugly cat fight. Marry your billionaire was pretty good. 4.5 stars out of 5.

Midge is a Hollywood producers daughter who has tried to move away from the crazy lifestyle but her father has other ideas. If she wants access to her trust fund she's going to have to do this small favour for him and step in the place of a dropped out candidate.

Brody needs to do some damage control to his playboy lifestyle. He signs up to do the tv series of marry me billionaire but soon realise he's made a mistake. He meets Midge just before the show starts and is already fascinated. She isn't interested in becoming his playboy of the month. The only way he is going to catch this fiery women is to get some time with her, hence the show being back on. The problem with this one is that there are 19 other women to stir the pot.

4.5 stars out of 5.

How to get free books

The simple answer to this is to start reviewing them. The Goodreads website is one of my favorites. It is a place where you can keep a record of the books you have read and want to read. Once you have it up and running it will also recommend things it thinks you will like. There are forums for Authors and Reviewers to meet. Even better you can join forums which suit the kind of books you would like to read. There aren't any rules when it comes to reviewing books so the world is your own. (It is recommend you write that you received the book in exchange for a honest review). If you are going to join Goodreads feel free to add me as a friend :)

The next book on my reading list is Marry your Billionaire By C. J Anaya. The Author was good enough to send me a Link for a chance to win this book for free to review...

Hope this helps. Good luck :)

Ratings; How I rate my books

How I rate my books

I think everyone who reviews books has a different approach on how many stars/hearts they give each book.

It is unlikely I would give a book less than 3 stars as it would be doubtful I would finish reading it (I dont review books I do not finish). The only way it could get less than 3

Crash: Bad Boy MMA Romance

Crash: Bad Boy MMA Romance

A taboo stepbrother romance.4 stars.

This book was quick paced, easy bedtime read. I am a fan of bad boy taboo romances and this one was pretty good. I like the fact they didn't know they were potentially going to be related when they got together. This gives the added twist of the family element.

Harper is on a girlie holiday in Brazil when she meets the sexy player, Crash. He is a champion fighter and uses girls as a one time deal but when he meets Harper he knows there is something different. After a shared night together on the beach he thinks he will never find her again however fate has a way of dealing a surprise hand.

Gone Wild

Gone Wild

This book was okay but it left me wanting more. This book was about two troubled teenagers who just needed to get away for a while. Both have their problems and both are running away from their life.
Seth is adopted and curious about how different his life could have been. Brooke is rebelling against her controlling mother. They meet out in the wild and spend some time together. The book feels like just a random encounter with a stranger rather than a long lasting connection. This book could be more... Maybe with a sequel.

Catching Jordan

Catching Jordan (Hundred Oaks)

I started this book and finished it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down!
The last two books I tried I could not finish and I was begining to think it was me (I needed a break or something) but I was wrong. This book was just what I needed. 5 star. Loved it.

Jordon Woods has football in her blood. It runs in the family and is in the air she breathes. She is Captain and quarterback of the high school team. The guys love her and she loves them. She is focused and determined to get an athletic scholarship at a top university.

As the season is about to start back up a hot new guy sets foot onto her field. He wants to play ball but he has his eye on Jordon and her positon on the field. Jordon can't help but become flustered by this new man, Ty. All she needs to do is stay focused. She has never dated before and Ty is about to mess with her game plan.

This book is about a girl suviving in a mans world. Teenage life begins to step forward, when it has always taken a back seat.

Wrecked

Wrecked

This was just what I was looking for. I really wanted to sink my teeth into an island castaway story and there aren't really that many out there. I found this one on a Amazon forum and it was really good.

4 teens. Sarah and Kevin are twins and seem to have it all. They are rich and popular. Kevin is athlete and Sarah is the school princess. Their dad has an important business deal with another local man who has a family. He decided to join the families for a cruise vacation to try and close his business deal.

Jonathan and candi are both less popular and school. They are less accustom to having lots of money. Jonathan is a smart intellectual geek. He is more interested in knowledge than making friends.
Candi is just an ordinary girl with insecurities about her looks. She knows she's not model think and doesn't have Barbie plastic looks.
The foursome are thrown together on an adventure they will not forget. This book was funny, sweet, curious and totally worth a 5 star rating. Love it and at last I have had my island fix.

This book has been compared to the breakfast club and I guess the principle is kinda of the same; the jock, the princess, the geek and the mouse but I would also say it is so much more.

I would recommend it for the older teen up.

The Matriarch

The Matriarch: An Erotic Superhero Romance

Maggie the female heroine in this book reminded me of a modern day Batman/James Bond. She's hot, she's sassy and isn't afraid to do what is necessary to get the job done.

As a child she found herself slaved into human trafficking. The man who stole her family and took her childhood was one of the most powerful in the city.

Maggie is determined to get revenge and justice. Like most super hero's she ends up with two identities; the deadly vigilante and the girl who wants the normal romance relationship.

This book is dark, twisted and addictive. 4.5 stars out of 5.

This book is the beginning of a series of books.

Heat

Heat: Heat, Sizzle, Burn (Hotter than Hell Novel Book 1)

Heat is a hot, dark romance about an ex -police officer. Madison is a private investigator, after being forced to retire from the police force due to injury her job prospects were slim. Being a cop was her dream job but a PI is just to pay the bills.

Her latest case has brought her to a dingy parking garage to catch a cheating husband with a hooker. She is able to get the pictures she needs but that isn’t the only trouble the dirty douche bag is in. Madison is sucked into the dark world of crime and his name is Moon. The problem is what if you start to like and crave the dark? Madison may just have gotten in over her head.

This is dark and twisted. If that’s your kind of book this is definitely for you. I really enjoyed this book. The title is very fitting to this book.

4.5 stars out of 5.

This book is 99p for Amazon Kindle readers and is well worth the money.
