This is the first book I have read by this author. It is the 5th in the Montana Hamilton series however can be read as a standalone.

Cassidy Hamilton wants to escape the watching public eye and get on with her life but with her dad running in the election as a presidential candidate she finds she is getting all the wrong attention. She is almost abducted in broad daylight in Houston, Texas but luckily for her a tall, dark handsome cowboy comes to her rescue. Cassidy doesn't know what her kidnappers wanted with her but maybe the man that rescued her knows more than he is letting on to.

This book is full of twists and turns. It is told from multiple points of views leading to many secrets within both Cassidy's and her heroes families.

4 stars out of 5. Suspense romance filled with mystery, action and scandal.

This book was really interesting. It has a diverse and developed story line which address a range of topics.

Eden is used to being ignored. She keeps her head down and gets on with her work. It's her last year at high school and she's hoping to win a scholarship to college which will allow her to escape her home town. There is a new girl in town and for some reason she wants to be friends with the unpopular Eden. Ash the rich Asian boy from school is fighting for her scholarship place and she finds herself finally wanting more than education. This book is about a girl that doesn't have much luck gaining friendships and romance. She fights for what she wants and is true to herself. People might call her trailer trash behind her back but she has the moral fibre to succeed.

Jerry's book was outside the MC. Kylie is bangers daughter the president of the MC and she is attending university away from home. Jerry finds that he can't stay away from the one woman he can't have. She's the sweet heart of the club and has lived a sheltered life when it comes to men. Her dad wants her to find a normal guy who can offer her a better life than the club.

Kylie has always had a thing for Jerry even though her dad has told her he is bad news but when she finds him on her doorstep none of her fellow admirers stand a chance.

This is a story of love creeping up on you when you haven't even realised it and of course there's a side story of a murder mystery (bad guy) which is quite common in Chiah Wilders books. 5 stars out of 5. It it what you would expect and to be honest that's why I like these books.

For some reason this book is harder to track down in paper form compared to the first book in the series and is a little more expensive however that said this is a Simone Elkeles book and I had to read it.

Monika and Trey have been dating since freshman year. To the outside world they are the perfect duo. Vic is Trey's best friend and happy to break all the rules except when it comes to his true feelings for Monika. Trey has his own secrets and Monika is beginning to unfold his mystery but by the time she figures out the pieces it maybe too late. This is a complexed romance story which has a mixture of sweet and sour.

Whiskey and gumdrops is a pretty good title for a book and I think that's what drew me to this story. Mandy is a small town waitress who dreams of more. When the person she thought she was going to marry ends up with someone else Mandy is thrown a curve ball. Frankie her best friend has always been there for her but she never let it go any further because she didn't want to mess up their friendship.

Frankie wants to help Mandy dream big and offers her the space to set up her own business. Even this gesture sits a little uncomfortable with Mandy. She doesn't want anything to upset the dynamics of their relationship but Frankie is persistent. He wants to help her anyway he can.

This book is about realising sometimes your perfect match is right in front of you.

For me this book was too much about Mandy's business adventure and the romance took a back seat. 2.5 stars out of 5.

My fake boyfriend was a really sweet book about friendship with a little romance mixed in.

Jasmine and Ethan have been best friends forever. They are complete opposites but work together perfectly. Ethan is popular, athletic and a traditional good guy. Jazzy is sassy, unique and unpopular in comparison. They do everything together and it becomes easy to let people think they are dating. It means they can attend all the same party's and events without anyone batting an eye lid. One is expected to be where the other is.

There is a new transfer to their 6th form college, Kane. He's a football friend of Ethan's and just as gorgeous. Jazzy just can't help but be distracted by his charms. Unfortunately everyone already thinks she's taken, life is about to become very complicated.

The twist was predictable but worked well. I really enjoyed this book. 5 out of 5.
