Tales of Obsession #1
5000 Nights of Obsession
I've read a few books that keep you guessing what’s going on right til the end. I’m not really sure what genre it’s classed as… suspense or mystery maybe.
This is a morally grey book and at times it’s disturbing.
From the reviews I read they suggested going in blind for this read so I did. 5000 Nights of Obsession is definitely a one time read situation or at least for me. I honestly didn’t have a clue why this story was off and it kept me guessing right till the end.
It’s a Great Gatsby retelling. I’ve only seen the film once and I remember it being a bit strange. This book fits that theme.
I listened to 5000 Nights of obsession on audio. For me that’s the best way to enjoy this book. It cost me £3.49 with my KU subscription.
At the start of the book the main character isn’t introduced by name. As the story unravels we find out her name and background but I don’t want to spoil anything.
She’s a woman who’s stalked by a celebrity DJ, but all the way through your left wondering how she feels about him.
Axel is an anti hero, stalker and an obsessive. This book is not described as a romance. It’s dark and unhinged.
If you fancy something different and want to keep guessing until the end this is exactly that. Hold on to your morally grey hat.
RARE25 Morally Grey Readathon. Book one out of eighteen.
