Dark Lover

Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood #1)

Book Review:

I enjoyed this book. However, I have no interest in continuing the series. I wouldn't say I'd lost interest by the end, but I'd just had enough.

Wrath is trying to avoid his calling. He knows what is needed to be done but is choosing only to live half life. He has a partner but chooses not to enjoy the benefits. He leads the vampires but doesn't want to be their king. His life is going to change. It starts with the death of a close friend. He wants Wrath to help his daughter. She is the missing piece.

Beth never knew her family, and although she will not meet them, she is about to find herself in her father's world. The world she didn't know existed. Wrath is going to be her guide, but from the second she meets him, she is like a cat on heat. Humans have never satisfied her needs and Wrath is about to show her why.

Dark Lover is a complex and well thought out story which has multiple levels to it. A new world is created, and there are lots of interesting characters to meet. 4 stars out of 5.
