She is down on her luck and running out of money. She turns to her brother for a temporary fix, but he is too wrapped up in his own life and ends up gambling her away to Liam Henderson. He is out of control and happy to take anything he wants. Freya is his new live-in maid, but she isn’t a pushover. She didn’t agree to be his maid, and she’s happy to add her own touch.
. The story sounds a little unrealistic however understanding Liam’s character makes it seem possible. They both need saving but can they get over there issues?

Baby Doll starts where most books finish. Lily escapes her captive nightmare, but the life she once knew has changed forever. This book is told from 4 points of view; Lily the victim, Abbey her twin sister, their mother and the man who kept her captive.

The book had it’s moments where I was hooked on every word, but it also had parts I didn’t want to read. Lily is a strong person, and the real victim is her twin sister. Her life fell apart when her sister disappeared, and now she is a walking disaster. This book is full of surprises, and I didn’t see the ending coming. I don’t want to give too much away, but if you’re looking for the non-fairy tale book, this one is for you.

Amanda Prowse's book seems to be popping up everywhere, and I have to admit I was intrigued. I was sent a pre-approved invitation via Netgalley to read The idea of you. It isn't my usual read. However, the description sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, I should have gone with my instincts this wasn't for me.

Lucy is approaching the big 4 0 and desperately wants a family of her own. This is a heart-melting story. It's about realising you have to adjust life's plan to fit the cards you are dealt.

I don't like upsetting novels, and Lucy's life plan doesn't work out the way she's planned. This novel has a silver lining, but it just wasn't for me.

This has a Goodreads rating of 4.32 showing that if you are the right audience for this book, you will love it.

I enjoyed Luke's story in this book. He is a complex character with so much to offer and a great guy. His home life is the best part of this novel.

Ayla, I didn't like as much. Overall she was okay she just had her moments. Ayla is a super geek. She dresses in sci-fi t-shirts and plays video games. She is also a great lover of pizza making her a little curvy. She is passionate about the school paper and the drama club. She wants to help the non-sport extra school activities gain more funding as their budgets are getting cut while the sports teams are getting new supplies. When she was out one night, she catches some of the jocks vandalising public property. She decides to use her incriminating evidence to gain herself a fake boyfriend in the hope it will help her win class president. If she gets this role, she is hoping it will help her to gain funds for the clubs. The bit I didn't get was why jocks would want to help the other clubs when surely the money would be cut from their budget? Her campaign wasn't part of the main story it was about her relationship with her fake boyfriend.

Luke is the guy she wants to entice with the evidence little does she know about his own personal issues. Instead of blackmailing him to help herself win the election she ends up helping the one person who needs her most. I felt this was an unlikely couple pairing, however, I enjoyed reading their blossoming romance.

Geek/ Jock romance novel with a difference. Definitely worth the read for the teen 16+ reader.

Captivating. I couldn't put this little gem down.

The fairytale of Beauty and the Beast we know but that doesn't mean you have read this story. I loved every minute of it and didn't want it to end. It follows the similar storyline of the Disney version. However, the plot is it's own.

Adam lost everything in a fire; his family, his personal possessions and his stunning good looks. He is disfigured- The beast. He turned his back on the world years ago.

Isabelle just wants to look after her sick father. She is willing to do whatever it takes. Isabelle is even willing to sell her soul to the devil. She dreams of finding true love, but her nightmares are becoming closer to reality.

This book is described as a dark re-telling of the story. However, I have to say it doesn't come close to Disfigured love by Georgia Le Carre. This book is a little dark, but there is also a lot of love. I have read quite a few Beauty and the Beast books and this is definitely one of my favourites (the other being Broken by Lauren Layne which is completely different to this).

I would say the intend audience for this beauty is 18+.

5+ stars out of 5. I couldn't get enough of this and I would definitely consider reading more by this author. Not many books make it onto my Goodreads favourite shelf but this one easily slides on. Thanks Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book although now I can't get The Beatles song (I want to hold your hand out of my head) because there really are songs about holding hands.

Elsie and her sisters have started a new school. Unfortunately so has her mum the new principal. The school is full of rich kids, and some even have famous parents. The central theme of this book is not to judge a person by your first impression because you could be wrong.

Derek reminds me of Mr Darcy. At first, he seems a little snooty but understanding his character is key to this story.

It is a romance novel. However, I felt Elsie and Derek's story was only just beginning by the end of the book. Epic fail is about being the new kid at school, family and finding your way.

5 out of 5. It's a clean teen read which is well written and suited for the 12 + age group.

The first 14% of this book is nothing to do with hockey.
This book is about a stalker ex-boyfriend who is married but wants a puppet girlfriend on the side.

Kristen gets involved with the wrong man, and he steals everything from her. She goes into hiding to get away from him, but he's still looking for her.

Kellan (Hockey player) wants to get to know Kristen. She's reluctant but can't resist. He's different to any man she's ever liked.

This book has a lot going on and is full of drama. It's nothing like the other hockey novels I have read. This book just wasn't for me.

I have read Roped In which is another story by this author and I loved that, but this one just didn't do it for me.

2.5 stars out of 5. Thanks Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.
