Finding Melodie

My name is Melodie and I'm in love with a guy, but he doesn't know.
He walks by every day, I catch him staring, listening to me sing and play my guitar. I don't even know his name.
Crazy I know but I can't stop thinking about Office Guy. That's what I secretly call him, Office Guy.
We've never even spoken to each other, but then one day he walks up to me and...

Finding Melody is a short but sweet story. I love the way the author made me feel like I was back on the south bank. I’ve been to London a couple of times this year and this location is perfect. It’s full of life and beautiful voices. I can imagine Melody there singing her mesmerising tunes. People passing by with their busy lives. Office guy being the person she looks forward to playing for.
Melody is a busker and a bartender. She lives in London with her two gay roommates. She’s a true Londoner and is good at picking the wrong guy. Office guy is her dream man. One day he approaches her and all is about to change. He’s actually talking to her and busting her fantasy. He wants to propose to his girlfriend and wants Melody to play the perfect song. What starts as passing ships turns into so much more. This is a short story so I don’t want to give much more away. This is an enjoyable read and works well as a short story.
5 out of 5. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. It’s great! Highly recommend.
